Danny, age 10

dannyI like the color purple. I like drawing pictures and playing games, especially cricket, I want to become an IT engineer. My mother told me that my father left us when I was 1 year old (on my first birthday). As my mother could not pay for our house we moved to a slum (a tiny house made with palm leaves and plastic sheets). My mother could not get any job because her husband abandoned her and was considered as unwanted. Due to this she was completely lost her mind and was unable to recognize me as her son. So I used to wander in the streets, railway platforms and the back of hotels, looking for food. Many days I went to sleep with an empty stomach. One night as I was walking on the road, Pastor Paul found me near the railway station and asked me to come home to have food at his house. I found other children like me, and he insisted I stay with the other children to have shelter, food, schooling and above all teaching about God as a father who loves his children better than the human fathers. Now I found two fathers in my life. Would you please consider support me to have food, shelter, and schooling, so I can live, grow and become an IT engineer and support my mother and other children like me?

Deena, age 4

deenaI am glad to introduce Deena (Meaning: Meek) Vanthala , a very shy girl her favorite color is blue, she likes games after coming home from school and eating corn. She enjoys learning the alphabet at present. When we asked what you will be when you grown up she replied, she wanted to become teacher for little children. When I was doing Gospel outreach at her village on the mountain I found this girl with her mother suffering from fever and cold. Her mother said they do not have a hospital near them, she wanted to have prayer for her child, I prayed and asked what she is studying, then came to know that they have no access to the school, hospital and safe water and food. Then I asked about her father, the woman said he was an alcoholic addict and left them with 3 children long ago with another woman and recently died. Jesus said to me to take at least one girl out of three girls from this family. By faith I took Deena to our home. Now Deena is a happy child, growing in happy, healthy and godly environment, having a good shelter, having nutritious food, enjoying her schooling above all a sweet home with Bethany. Your help and sponsorship can bring more smiles on her face along with other children at Bethany home for children.

Eswar, age 8

eswarMy favorite color is white. I like painting and games so much. I want to become an engineer when I grow up. I lived on the mountain and attended the convention and found Pastor Paul when he came to our mountain village. I do not know anything about my parents; only thing I know was that they simply left me to live as they thought I would be a burden to them. I now I have a home, brothers and sisters at Bethany Home. I am happy to have good food; I am especially happy going to school. I am learning English, science, mathematics and social sciences. I like English so much.

Kavita, age 8

kavitaI like dancing and singing, I want to become a doctor. I was abandoned on the mountain. I heard people saying that after my father’s death my mother left me because I am girl but she took my little brother when she went with another man. I am in bad shape, especially one of my legs. (Note: Treatment has been started to hopefully allow Kavita to walk properly.) I had been living on the mountain village as an animal and depending on other people but most of them are poor and unable to feed their own children. Who will look after me? I was considered as trash. When I came to the Gospel convention to get food I was found by Pastor (my papa now). He talked to me and prayed for me and asked the local pastor (uncle John) to take care of me for a while and this June, I was brought to Bethany Home. Here I found a home, brothers, sisters and friends. I am going to school, learning lot of things about science, mathematics and social studies. Many of the lessons are hard for me to learn but I keep going to school.

Sudheer, age 13

sudheerI like reading animal stories and Bible stories. I want to become a minister of the Gospel because the gospel found me on the mountain. I heard that my father died with some kind of disease and mother was taken to their maternal home without me. I was left alone in the village and did not know where to sleep or where to get food. All these years I just lived by chance and now I know that God has a plan for me and brought me here to Bethany Home to live, grow and know Him better. Now I am going to school and wish to do good in my studies and grow like a good boy. I have found new life, joy, friends and fun.
